It’s still astounding to me that I’ve been creating The Thoughtful Travel Podcast for more than five years. Week in, week out, somehow I manage to put together another episode and out it goes – ready for a wonderful group of people to listen to it. These listeners have become such an important part of my life – some have even become close friends – and so every now and then, I really love making an episode compiled from questions from this fabulous group of people. That’s what this is!

Behind the Scenes Again – 2021 Edition
It’s a round-numbered episode so time for something different: this time I’m the one getting interviewed, and I answer questions about what happens behind the scenes of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast, gathered from listeners through the Thoughtful Travellers Facebook group and other social media sites.
It’s three years since I did the first Behind the Scenes episode and so much has changed. This time round, travel writer Catherine Marshall interviews me with discussions about the ideas I have for podcast topics, what makes a good interviewee, any disasters I’ve had and an overview of the technical aspects of how The Thoughtful Travel Podcast comes together. It was fun to chat about these topics and I hope listeners will find the result interesting, too.
