Travel to Change Your Life’s Path – Episode 63 of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast

Sometimes when you make a decision to travel somewhere, you know it might be life-changing somehow, but you often don’t realise exactly what path in life that trip is going to push you down! That’s certainly been the case for me and is the same for the three lovely people I speak with in this episode of the podcast.

And for anyone thinking about taking a trip that just might be life-changing: do it! The most life-changing travel moment for me was heading to Japan to teach English. A few people suggested it wasn’t the smartest life move for me at that moment in time. They were so utterly and completely wrong! So remember that and listen to your gut instead. We are nearly always right about ourselves!

Travel to Change Your Life’s Path

Travel can be life changing in many ways and the guests in Episode 63 of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast are proof of that. To start off I chat with Penny Wincer who made what I see as a huge decision to spend a year volunteering in Thailand at the age of just 18. She definitely learnt a lot and it set the tone for how she’s approached travel – and many aspects of life – ever since.

Next up I chat with Becky Livingston, who made a similarly huge decision to spend a year in Australia on a teaching exchange, with life-altering consequences. And finally, I talk to Cassandra Le about her decision during college that travel was a priority and how the volunteer trip she took to Ecuador changed the path of her life after college.
