Those of you with jobs that require travel will probably, at some point, have had some issues with it. Although we all love to travel, work travel is something that sometimes means handing over a lot of the decisions to someone else, or to the requirements of a company or your client, and I think this can mean it’s harder to be a thoughtful traveller.
Thanks to the pandemic it’s been a couple of years since I got to combine work and travel, but last month I spent a few days on the road to run social media workshops for a great client of mine. I took the chance to pay closer attention to what it’s like to travel for work AND be a thoughtful traveller all at once, and am sharing these thoughts in Episode 263.
In the episode, I promise to share some photos of the gorgeous beach views I found at the start and end of my work day, so they’re below, too.

Travelling for Work: Can You Be A Thoughtful Traveller?

Travelling for work can be very different to other kinds of travel, but when I had the chance to travel to south-west Western Australia to run workshops recently, I decided to document my trip and decide whether or not I was being a thoughtful traveller.
This episode includes audio-diaries of my three days in Yallingup – two of which were recorded under a blanket in a hotel room, trying to soundproof my recording! I also chatted with members of the Thoughtful Travellers Facebook group about their experiences of trying to be thoughtful travellers while travelling for their job.
