Interestingly though, although I loved my childhood Australian Christmases, now that I've had European ones the Aussie version just doesn't stack up! I wouldn't have known. But sounds like a really interesting place to be at Christmas if only to throw light on what is a 'real' Christmas or the 'wrong' season. Perhaps we'll always feel that a proper Christmas relates to where we spent them as children?
